Narrative

At 0030Z on 1 October 1957, a United Airlines Captain in a DC-7 at 20 angels altitude over Los Angeles routing, position 20 miles west of Punka City, Texas, observed two white-and-bright trailing lights with bright flashes. The objects were above 20 angels heading from north to south and faded out after a trailing light for five seconds. Air-visual observation only. Reported by Capt WB Tappan, ADCC Controller.
