Coast Guard seaman apprentice Roland M. Phil reported observing a stationary red and green blinking light at 45-degree elevation for approximately two hours, viewed through 7x50 binoculars. The sighting was made near Newburyport, Massachusetts, north of Boston. S/Sgt Vernon L. Lovejoy of Detachment 10 4670 was also involved. Message dated 17 December.
