Narrative

A 43-year-old factory worker and his son observed a bright yellow basketball-sized light at Bongrock, New Jersey on 1 March 1956 at 0130Z. Object moved straight up, then up and down intermittently from west to south for 53 minutes before fading from sight. AISOP analysis concluded probably astronomical (Venus and Sirius were both very bright in the sighting area), and no radar contact substantiated the astro theory.
