Narrative
Captain Harold B. Kinison, piloting a B-25 with Col Wadman, Lt Col Shockley and another colonel aboard, observed the light over Columbus at 2400 hours. The object appeared stationary then climbed in a chandelle, with the light separating into two equal lights, leveled at 10,000-15,000 feet, then departed west on heading 270 degrees at 75-100 mph. A weather check with Columbus and Lockbourne confirmed no balloon launches.
