Narrative

On 24 July 1955 at 0310Z near St. Cloud, Minnesota, an observer reported a single round red object 1,000 feet to the south flying at a slow rate of speed, with motion described 'like a yo-yo' east of station. The object faded as it went through clouds. Duration 7-8 minutes via ground visual with binoculars. Winds did not support balloon hypothesis. Concluded probably aircraft with red navigation light over straight course of seven to eight minutes.
