Narrative

On 26 June 1956 at approximately 0456Z, two teenage farmers (ages 16 and 17) in Howell, Utah observed a ball of flame while one was driving a truck. The whitish-glowing object descended from approximately 10-15 degrees elevation to 8-12 degrees, then exploded/disintegrated with parts of the object visible during the explosion. The sighting lasted approximately 4 seconds. Initial evaluation suggests this was possibly a meteor.
