Narrative
At 12/0335Z May 1955 near Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, observer saw a flash of light in the east. Object appeared 1 to 1.5 miles east of observer's house traveling south to north at estimated 100-150 mph, dropping only slightly in elevation. Initial azimuth 90 degrees at 20 degrees elevation; faded to 80 degrees azimuth at 18 degrees elevation. Disappeared as if extinguished or burnt out after 1-2 seconds. Weather very clear with no winds; no aircraft in area. Investigator believed object was probably a meteor.
