Narrative
On 15 September 1953 at approximately 1945 MST, Miss Phyllis Killian of Black Hawk, South Dakota glanced at the sky during a 4-H meeting and saw a red glow traveling at estimated 150-200 mph. Children at the meeting also saw the object. The object was visible for approximately 30 minutes before disappearing behind a hill. Mr. & Mrs. Olaf Aldren saw the same object at the same time. At 2330 MST, the Aldrens again sighted the object, which seemed to hover over a drive-in theater screen. It traveled closer to the screen like an automobile headlight, appeared to stand still at times, flickered like a star, turned to a low glow for a few seconds, then changed to brilliant white before suddenly disappearing. The preparing officer suggested the witnesses had imagination due to long GOC duty hours.
