Narrative
On 25 April 1952 at 2115 local, a pilot and 1st Lt. of the 433d Air Base Group flying a C-47 on a local instrument flight observed a brilliant moving white light at 2000 feet over Darmstadt, Germany. The light appeared on a collision course; the pilot took evasive action. Rhein Main tower contacted Frankfurt Airways and reported no other aircraft in the vicinity. The light was visible for about two minutes, climbing at high speed to the northwest. Visibility 5-10 miles, scattered clouds. Wing intelligence judgment: pilot's observations were confirmed by experienced co-officer.
