Narrative

On 19 July 1956 a ground observer near Stanton, Nebraska reported a round, white, baseball-sized object at high altitude moving up and down while drifting south-southwest. Observed for approximately one hour using binoculars. Headquarters concluded the object was possibly a balloon based on the described motion and winds aloft.
