Narrative

On 14 November 1956 at 1538Z, a 53-year-old civilian housewife and ground observer in Minnesota noticed the descent of an oblong object while driving an auto. The object was silver with a black stripe and descended to the ground out of view over approximately 5 seconds. Sheriff from Brainerd checked the area and found only tracks possibly caused by a small aircraft. The 31st Air Division Director of Intelligence prepared the report; no other aircraft were noted in the area.
