Narrative
On 26 December 1952 at approximately 1228Z, Capt. Penix piloting a USAF B-26 (Number 5914) from Rhein/Main to Tempelhof at 9,000 feet observed five unidentified aircraft trailing contrails at approximately 18,000 feet in the vicinity of Potsdam. The aircraft appeared to be flying locally. The report was prepared by 1st Lt. Trefter L. Thomas, 7350th Base Complement Squadron, who vouched for Capt. Penix's reliability.
