Narrative
On 14 May 1956 at 1815Z (logged as in error), a civilian painter in downtown Washington, DC observed three submarine-shaped silver objects, later one, that remained stationary for approximately one hour. Weather was cloudy, scattered clouds at 14,000 feet, 10 miles visibility. Andrews ADC was notified. Duty Officer D/I HQ USAF noted that shape, color, and immobility indicated possibility of being searchlights. Conclusion: other, possible searchlight.
