Narrative
On 23 July 1956, two Air Policemen at Brooks AFB, Texas and civilian witnesses observed a single round silver object with a golden tint over San Antonio, Texas. Object was the size of a dime at arm's length, intensely bright, brighter than a star. It appeared in the southwest at approximately 45 degrees elevation, moved to nearly overhead, halted briefly, then continued toward the northeast. Object was at times behind cirrus clouds but still visible. Total observation about 1.5 minutes for the first sighting, with subsequent shorter sightings. Reported via SAAMA Kelly AFB; unevaluated.
