Narrative
On 20 March 1956 at 1600Z, the mayor of East Prairie, Missouri (acting as GOC alternate observer) accidentally observed a single orange, teardrop-shaped object with a trailing object underneath. The object descended from 35 to 33 degrees elevation in a straight track and passed out of sight after two minutes. Weather was clear and bright. Concluded as a balloon by AISOP.
