Narrative
On 8 March 1956 at 2017 local (0417Z 9 March), an observer near Winchester, California sighted a single round pinhead-sized white-to-pink object moving west-to-east in straight flight at 30 degrees elevation. Object was accompanied by a buzzing sound and faded after 5 minutes. Reported by Senior Director 1st Lt Thomas D. Lucas, 751st ACWRON Mt. Laguna. Weather very clear, unlimited visibility. Headquarters concluded duration, straight-line course, and accompanying sound indicated the sighting was probably an airplane.
