Narrative

On 19 February 1956 at 0135Z near Beaulieu, Minnesota, ground observer D. Lathmann reported a basketball-sized green and red object descending slowly and disappearing over the horizon to the northeast. Investigation of balloon agencies including University of Minnesota, General Mills, Inc., and General Mills Moby Dick monitoring eliminated local research balloons but could not confirm Moby Dick. The 4602D AISS concluded the sighting was possibly aircraft, noting the color of the object.
