Narrative
At 0340Z on 9 September 1955, a Ground Observer in the Howell, Michigan area observed a single round object with a flashing red light. The object moved in straight, level flight, gradually fading after approximately three minutes. Weather conditions included calm winds, light rain, and thin overcast. Reported by 1/Lt David M. Hersey, AC&W Duty Director. Concluded as possibly aircraft (flashing red light, straight and level course).
