Narrative

At 0919Z on 4 October (likely 1956), an observer gazing out a window was attracted by a brilliant light. The object was at approximately 40 degree elevation heading approximately 180 deg. The flight path was parallel to earth's surface with slight downward trend until it disappeared behind trees after approximately one second. The object pulsed in intensity three times. Aircraft from Goose Bay had arrived at CEF (Westover) at 1937Z. The Wing Intelligence Officer offered no comments; sighting was reported negative.
